Time and talent donated at fundraiser for Haiti

In mid-June, Kyo photographed a fundraiser for Haitian women and children called Geminis Give Back, organized by Melky Jean and the Carma Foundation. The food was donated by Chef Lucmann Pierre, the desserts by Dana Herbert (recent winner of TLC’s Next Great Baker), the decor by Stella Inserra, the drinks by Veev, and the space by Saatchi & Saatchi. Everybody poured a lot of love into the event (literally and figuratively!)

We have to give a special shout-out to Lucmann for coordinating many of the vendors — a testament to his gentle and upbeat power of persuasion. Lucmann created a special menu featuring Haitian flavors that was complemented by Dana’s exuberant desserts, and Stella imbued the space with her natural glamour.

Food Company Catering at the horse races in Far Hills, NJ

On October 23rd, Kyo spent the day photographing the food and festivities at the 90th annual Far Hills Races for Food Company Catering, a superb boutique catering company based in East Hanover, NJ. Kyo often works as a corporate event photographer, but it is not every day that he gets to shoot an event described as “steeplechasing’s richest race.”

Food Company catered four large tents at the Races, each with a unique theme, including a very authentic-looking Oktoberfest! Their dishes taste just as scrumptious as they look.
